Ysabel MacCloskey (January 20, 1915 – March 11, 1981) was an American stage, film and television character actress who appeared as The Woman who gets into a fight with Patrick Cranshaw's Old Man during a Christmas shopping free for all in Season 1's Mork's First Christmas.

Biography[]

Ysabel was born January 20, 1915., in Washington, USA as Ysabel Momsen, and post High School attended University of California at Berkeley.

She was married to Robert William MacCloskey (1944 - 1973) and had one child with him, before their divorce in 1973.

She died on March 11, 1981 in Burbank, California, USA. [1] [2]

Career[]

After her college graduation she began her show business career performing in several productions at the Pasadena Playhouse. She was an original member of the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco and later joined an opera company in Stuttgart, West Germany, where her husband was stationed.

Her first screen credit came in her 50s in an episode of the Beverly Hillbillies, and she went on to play many supporting parts in some of the most notable TV series of the 70s and 80s.

Mork & Mindy[]

Ysabel MacCloskey's The Woman along with Pat Cranshaw's Old Man, not only give the lie to Christmas Spirit but send Mork scurrying for cover as they get into a pitched battle over clothing in Boulder's Ski Shop during Season 1's Mork's First Christmas, until Mork breaks everything up by sending everyone to an non-existent first floor.
