Wally Dalton is an American Actor, Writer, Singer and Comedian who appeared as the Guard, Officer Bob, watching over Mork & Exidor in Boulder Jail, in Season 1's Mork the Gullible.

Biography[]

Having begun his career in L.A., along with writing and acting, Walter also worked in stand up, appearing at the Improv, the Ice House, Catch a Rising Star, and the Comedy Castle. In the 90's he relocated to Seattle/Vancouver, B.C, continuing his acting career there, along with becoming a teacher of screen writing at Northwest Film Forum and North Seattle Community Colleges.

He is also a folk singer who had a group with his two brothers called “The Dalton Boys.”, and is currently the President at SWEET WALLACE PRODUCTIONS in Seattle, Washington. [1]

Career[]

Walter 'Wally' Dalton began his career in Los Angeles, where he was immediately hired as writer-performer on “The Tim Conway Comedy Hour.” He loved working with Craig T. Nelson, Barry Levinson, Sally Struthers, and others, but 13 weeks into the job, CBS pulled the plug. He went on to write for shows like Love, American Style ( 1973); Donny and Marie (1976); Music Hall America (1976); Baby... I'm Back! (1978); James at 16 (1978); Barney Miller ( 1978 - 1979); When the Whistle Blows (1980); Benson (1980); Semi-Tough (1980); It's a Living (1980-1981); Laverne & Shirley (1981) (working as a script consultant for both It's a Living and Laverne & Shirley as well); Teachers Only (1983) and the TV Movie Sin of Innocence (1986).

He also wrote a two-character comedy called “The Mayor of Monkey Run.”

As an Actor he has more than 70 credits, his first on screen credit coming in 1974 in the TV Movie Roll, Freddy, Roll!. Further TV Movie Appearances included Happy Endings (1983); Deadly Messages (1985); Beverly Hills Cowgirl Blues (1985); Dead Ahead: The Exxon Valdez Disaster (1992); Beyond Obsession (1994); Dancing with Danger (1994); Deadly Vows (1995); Jack Reed: One of Our Own (1995); Generation X (1996); Murder in My Mind (1997); Out of Nowhere (1997); The Last of the Ryans (1997); Intensity (1997); The Baby Dance (1998) and Sole Survivor (2000).

He has also appeared across a range of popular TV Series for over four decades

Mork & Mindy[]

Wally Dalton appeared as the genial enough Guard, Officer Bob, who is dealing with an imprisoned Mork who is has been arrested for aiding and abetting the release of an escaped criminal, after the trusting Orkan believes his word that he will return. Later he brings in Exidor arrested in full street preacher mode. And eventually escorts in Dittman, who, to the shock of Fred and Mindy (and Exidor) has kept his word to Mork and returned, albeit a little later than promised.
