About[]

The Eatery is a licensed, low cost diner on the Pearl Street Mall, with basic decor and functional seating with bar seats, stand alone tables and booths, with most of the kitchen located externally in the restaurant, operated by one short order cook and one waitress. It's customers mostly shoppers and people who work in the Mall.

One of the latter, who knows the McConnell Music Store well, and that Mindy works there, informs his friend George of that, when George is taken with Mindy. Uncaring of her being with Mork or not knowing her, he attempts to hit on her, which she politely rebuffs, at first. When he insists he wants to dance with her however, it gets decidedly more ugly when he drags her out of her chair to do so. Mork, not picking up that Mindy is in trouble and unable to fend him off.

Ultimately thinking that it is some kind of game, Mork does get involved and ends up humiliating the creep, who thinks that Mork's game of cops of robbers is the real thing and the fingers he has pressed into his back are actually a gun. With Mindy escaped with Mork, George vows a violent revenge on Mork and starts to trail him around town. Mork's confusion over why she did not deal with him herself, and his revelation that violence is not only unknown but virulently frowned on on Ork, explains to Mindy why he did not come to her protection, but also leads to his having to hide from George in an attempt to avoid being dragged into something that is deeply shameful to him.

When however, it becomes clear that George is not letting up, and Mindy is beginning to question his courage, to prove to her that it is principle and not fear keeping him from facing George and to try and end it, he returns to The Eatery to face him. There he tells George he will not fight him, and allows George to humiliate him (or from Mork's point of view humiliate himself) in an attempt to goad Mork into it. But Mork refuses to react, not even after Mindy's arrival when George punches him. Gradually turning The Eatery's staff and customers on Mork's side. Still, it is only when George grabs a hold of Mindy again that Mork finally becomes proactive, firmly refusing to allow him to touch her, but still asking George not let him humiliate him. Mork ultimately dealing with him by allowing George's own actions to make him look foolish, using his abilities with time warps to move far too fast for George to touch him, with the bully ending up on the floor with pie all over his face, everyone fully on Mork's side, and George having to concede defeat and apologize. Mindy admiring of both Mork's pacifist principles and his ability to protect her, giving Mork his reward.
