Stanley Kamel (January 1, 1943 – April 8, 2008) was an American actor, who appeared as Charlie, a wanted criminal who provokes a rare case of Mork's anger in Season 4's My Dad Can't Beat Up Anybody.
Biography[]
Stanley Kamel was born to a Jewish family on Jan. 1, 1943, in New Brunswick, N.J., one of three brothers along with Stephen and Robert, Raised in South River, New Jersey, he attended Rutgers Preparatory School.
On April 8, 2008, he was found dead of a heart attack in his Hollywood Hills home. He was 65.
Kamel never married and had no children. [1]
Career[]
He started his acting career off-Broadway and made his TV bow in an episode of Mission Impossible (1969) landing his first recurring part as Eric Peters for a three year run in Days of Our Lives. He made his big screen bow in 1970's Bacchanale, the first of 20 Movie appearances along with parts in short movies The A-List (2001) Last Day (2006) and Jane Doe: How to Fire Your Boss (2007). [2]
Other TV recurring roles came in shows like Cagney & Lacey, Melrose Place and most latterly as Dr. Charles Kroger in Monk, Kamel passing away during its 6th Season. "Mr. Monk Buys a House," the premiere episode of the seventh season of Monk, was dedicated to his memory and included a mention of his character (Dr. Kroger) dying of a heart attack. The final scene of the episode was a close-up of a photo of Stanley, as Dr. Kroger, on Monk's fireplace mantle.[1]

Mork & Mindy[]
Stanley Kamel played Charlie a wantedcriminal who is target of an undercover sting by cop Gus in the dive of a bar that Mork & Mearth have unadvisedly gone into for a drink. Mork in his space suit, seeking out 'wrongdoers' trying to prove to Mearth that he's like a superhero so his son will look up to him get more than they bargain for in Charlie. After Mork fouls up Gus's attempt to arrest Charlie, Charlie takes the cops gun and uses it on the denizens of the bar, berating Mearth when he acts like the child he is, rather than doing what he says. Repeatedly hitting Mearth, to the point that he finally angers Mork who brings his powers to bear, creating a tornado like effect in the bar.
