As with most shows a Publicity Tour was organized for the launching of Mork & Mindy, with Robin Williams & Pam Dawber doing a number of (outdoor) one on one chats with interviewers from various ABC affiliates in 1978. In line with the huge speed with which the show had been put together, pitched and commissioned, to get it on the air as soon as possible, the advertising campaign was also done rapidly.
For many of these interviews, it had only been 3-4 weeks since Robin and Pam had actually met for the first time and only a few scripts had actually been filmed. The interviewers had only been provided with a few minutes of the pilot (on the back of Mork's previous appearance on Happy Days) as part of the press pack of the show, so questions about characters were sometimes met 'we're still working on that', as it was very early days still in shooting. What is clear is the rapport between the two actors had already become evident, with the two of them working well off each other (even when the interviewer may not have been the best).

Kicks off with Robin singing Happy Birthday to Ch 29 in Bakersfield (in 1978) in Orkan, before the interviewer describes the reaction of the ABC network audience to the snippet of the pilot during the 25th celebrations. Pam and Robin talk about the premise of Mork & Mindy, Orkan powers, and what Mork finds so attractive about Mindy, with the interviewer picking up pretty quickly that the behind the scenes stuff could be as entertaining as the show.

Kicks off amusingly with Pam talking to a member of the crew about her days dating an old boyfriend up around Michigan State with Robin getting in on the act of dating him too. Features 'shoe bondage'; Pam 'fearfully' spilling the beans about Robin/Mork; dangerously leaning trees; Robin the Russian story; and a possible storyline where Mork would've gotten involved with foreign dignitaries meeting in Colorado.
