Sally Friedman is a friend of Mindy's who appears (and is mentioned) through S1 and S2.
Character summary[]
Sally is a married (judging by the wedding ring on her finger) and, when we first meet her in A Mommy for Morky, heavily pregnant friend of Mindy's, who when she comes into the Music Store gives Mork his first real idea of what motherhood involves on Earth. The later birth of her son ignites Mork's fervent desire to be a parent (which resonates through the rest of the show), and also gets him into trouble making him the target of a child kidnapping ring Yes Sir, That's My Baby.

Sally is bright, funny, likable and has a mischievous/impish streak of humor.

Friendship with Mindy[]
Sally seems well known, and well liked to all the McConnell's so appears to have a friendship with Mindy that goes back a few years, and the two spend sometime socializing (Young Love) Perhaps because she is both mischievous and married, she seems keen to matchmake Mindy off, notably with Mork (whose humor and fascination with first her pregnancy and her newborn son she enjoys), and follows up again with Mindy on whether she's spending her birthday with 'someone special' in Mork's Mixed Emotions while on the phone with her. Their friendship continues (off screen at least) in S2, when Sally brings the baby over to Mindy's for a visit Hold That Mork.
