Rosa DaVinci is the widowed mother of Remo and Jeanie DaVinci, who still lives back in New York, in the Bronx, who visits during Mork's Vacation, and is played by Blanche Bronte
About Rosa[]
Rosa is the widowed mother of Remo & Jeanie, her husband Leo (Leonardo) (Stark Raving Mork) being confirmed as deceased (Mork's Vacation), who comes to visit her children in Boulder. Mindy, having heard she was coming in to town, told Remo & Jeanie to let her know when she was coming and to come on over for dinner. Unfortunately Remo's arrival to let her know coincides with her being absent *and* with Mork's 'mental house swap' vacation, his body currently inhabited by a feline denizen of the Planet MrrRarr. Remo in a rush doesn't notice, thinking Mork has just woken up, and when Cat Mork escapes out the window she never gets the message.
With Mindy caught up in trying to deal the newest Mork swapper. the Hedonistic 'Twelve', who after hitting on her relentlessly disappeared to get some new clothes, the DaVinci's all arrive while she's waiting to see if 'Twelve' returns And unfortunately he does. After the super conservative Rosa had been assured by her children that Mork & Mindy living together without being married was 'okay' as Mork was such a nice guy, she meets Twelve in Mork's body. Turning up looking like a Travolta wannabe from Saturday Night Fever, and with two girls on his arm, he immediately hits on Mindy again, then flirts with Jeanie and finally picks up the aghast Mrs DaVinci.
Telling Mindy that her Mork will be the best dressed man in Hell, an apologetic Mindy can only say that Mork isn't 'himself' and begging them to come again the next night, when hopefully Mork will truly be himself again, they head out.
Personality[]
Rosa is a super conservative, Italian Matriarch who finds the the Eco Friendly Approachable California Governer Jerry Brown to be too wild and bohemian, and is afraid her kids will fall in with a hippy crowd out in Colorado. Warm and tactile (wanting hugs on meeting her children's friends) but at the same time has her children firmly under her thumb, with both of them eager to appear 'good kids' with good friends to their Mom, with Remo in particular brought back down to Earth by her, when he starts to appreciate Twelve's attitude to the ladies.
