Mork and Mindy Wiki

Ron is the Manager of the Bare Facts Club. The strip club that Mork and Mindy go undercover to, to help Nelson out after he starts getting threats on his stance regarding pornography and strip bars. He appears in Season 2's Dial 'N' For Nelson, and is played by Dick Yarmy.

About Ron[]

Ron is the pretty jaded manager of Boulder's only strip joint, who acts as the front man for the clubs owner. On the day of auditions for new acts for the club he is apparently already bored and wants to get things over and done with, telling the hopefuls that only the best girl will get to audition and therefore meet the owner of the club.

Mork posing as Sid Morkenstein, from the William Morkis Agency, with Mindy his client, Miss Mindy Rose Lee, the Boulder Bombshell, are purely there to try and meet the owner of the club, who they believe is a woman, and the one behind the threats to Nelson. And on hearing that Mork, aware that Mindy has no intention of getting up on the stage, tries his best to convince Ron that Mindy is worthy of an audition with the owner as she's obviously more attractive and talented then the others there, but he tells him they have to wait their turn.

Mindy watches in increasing horror as the girls start to strut their stuff, Ron calling a quick halt to each of their weird auditions, and when she is forced up onto the stage, freezes, bursts into laughter and then rushes to cover up behind the curtain. Left with no alternative Mork gets on the stage and tells Ron to tell his boss that Sid Morkenstein demands to see him, but Ron is firm that no one demands to see the boss. So Mork decides to audition himself, and surprisingly Ron, probably happy just to see something different lets him. Watching as Mork proceeds to do a striptease himself, which is at least showy and stylish enough to get Ron to think maybe the boss might be interested in it and calls for the boss.

Who, it transpires, is definitely not a woman, but rather a burly black middle aged dude...backing off, their hunch wrong, Mork & Mindy try and make their excuses, until the club owner asks Ron what's going on, and his voice turns out to be incredibly high pitched. Eyeing each other, having got their man, the duo sneak away.
