Pod Mindy is at first a helpful and then seductive dream manifestation of Mindy under Mr. Persuasion that Mork has as part of the consumerist Nightmare Dreamscape he has after becoming addicted to Earth advertising in Season 2's Invasion of the Mork Snatchers.
About Pod Mindy[]
After falling to advertising addiction, something that Orkans have a low tolerance for (Earth's commercials redirected to other planets rather than being shown on Ork), Mork's addiction leads him to a fever dream and being called in the consumerist dreamscape controlled by Mr. Persuasion who looks like Mr. Bickley. Approached by various antenna wearing pod people selling their various wares, Mork notices one that looks exactly like Mindy.

Trying to warn Mork.
Like the rest dressed in white, and noticing she is examining her hair perturbed, he asks her what's wrong 'flaking, itching, peeling', and she tells him split ends. Mork cracking that she sells split ends. A moment later however, she breaks persona, and tells him that it's actually her Mindy, and that he needs to get out of there, he's in Danger. When he doesn't believe her, she pulls him aside to watch the return of Mr. Persuasion who takes control of all the pod people there using a giant remote control, getting them to recite 'American Dream' consumer slogans. Mork tries to escape with Mindy but they catch the attention of the pod people and Mindy is dragged back into them.

Sex sells, Pod Mindy sets her sights on Mork.
Waking up in the apartment calling for Mindy, Mork is reassured by her that he's safe, only for the apartment to be invaded by Pod Remo, the rest of the Pod People and Mr. Persuasion. Mr. Persuasion tries several methods of advertising pressure on him, Mork resisting them all until Mr. Persuasion calls upon the one that 'never fails'. Pod Mindy emerges, dressed in a backless shimmering black gown, black evening gloves and black boa, sultry and seductive, Mork immediately under pressure as she shimmies up to him.

Ratcheting up the rewards.
Running her fingers through his hair she demonstrates what she'll do if he uses the 'right' shampoo. Caressing his cheek and jaw she shows him what she'll do if he uses the 'right' aftershave. Mork desperately trying to 'maintain', she draws circles on his chest with her fingers, telling him what she'll do if he uses the right toothpaste, before pulling his face to hers and kissing him thoroughly. Mork, cracking, wants to know what she'll do if he buys the whole store? To which she asks if he believes in heaven?
Mork tries desperately to maintain, but when she starts swinging her hips and dancing in front of him, Mork breaks, telling himself it's time to disregard his previous maintain, and it's time to boogie! Broken by her, he's brought under the control of Mr. Persuasion, who is able to control him with his remote, until Mork finally wakes from his nightmare. Though not trusting that Mindy is really Mindy and not still her 'hot hips' pod alternate.
