About[]

Bickley at Work
Around 6 months after Mork's arrival, a year or so after Mindy moved in, Mork and Mindy got a new neighbor in Franklin Bickley. The entrance to Bickley's apartment is through a set of double doors right inside the main entrance to the house, with the stairs up to the Mindy's apartment right outside them. Bickley, a successful independent, Greeting Card writer, uses the apartment as both a work and living space. Working from a drafting table just inside the apartment, Bickley both designs the cards and composes the verse.
After an initial rough start with his upstairs neighbors, thanks to the persistence and tolerance of Mork, and the present of a puppy, which Bickley names 'Bicky', Bickley settles into life with his pup.
The Apartment[]
As part of an original single family home, Mr. Bickley has the unit that has the original sitting/drawing room, complete with original fixtures like the ornate Victorian wooden fireplace, his bedroom is through double doors beyond the fireplace, and his kitchen to the right (viewer wise) of the drafting table.
Notable Events / Mishaps & Disasters[]
While Mindy is away, and Mork is bored out of his mind, Bickley and he go out for the evening, and wander, without knowing it. into a pick up joint, where they promptly get picked up by a pair of mother and daughter shysters who, convince an easily convincible Bickley to take them back to his place, where they promptly rob him blind. (Mork's Night Out)
Shortly after, Mork & Mindy themselves 'break in' when items, most importantly Mork's Orkan Aging Machine, start disappearing out of their apartment and Mindy figures out that the common denominator is visits from Bickley to their apartment. The break in results in an understanding that the grouchy Bickley is in fact deeply lonely, and this is a cry for attention which ultimately shifts the pairs relationship with him.(In Mork We Trust)
Bickley's apartment is where Mork & Mindy meet his son, Tom Bickley for the first time, after Bickley has (unknowingly to them all) vacated the premises to avoid meeting his son, due to his guilt over for forcing Tom out into the world so that he wouldn't become dependent on his father. (Mork Learns to See).

Car Crash
While Mork is seeking out a high level prank to make Mindy laugh, Mr. Bickley unwittingly hands him what what he's looking for, in his own champion college prank of rebuilding a car in the Dean's front room. Failing to mention that this was done in a ground floor room, not a first floor apartment (Mork the Prankster) . The repercussions are extreme for both apartments, when Mindy's rebuilt Jeep crashes through the upstairs floor, and barely misses Bickley himself who was up early to go fishing and only stepped out of his front room to go make coffee. As a result most of his front room furniture is destroyed and he's left with a car in its place, until Mork can dismantle it and get it out.
