Mork & Mindy[]
Melanie appeared as Kathy, who, as she tells Mindy is actually a Law Student who also happens to also be a cheerleader, rather than the other way around, something she does because she enjoys it, not because she can make a living out of it. After encountering Mork at the NY Deli, she and her friend Ann arrive at the Apartment to work out with Mork and help him in his quest to do something he feels he will enjoy and will be good at. They also stand up for him at the audition with their boss Pam Stockhaus, advocating for him, their work paying off when Mork nails the audition and the women prevail on her to give him an answer. Mork getting into the squad.
