Margaret is the Editor of Rocky Mountain Illustrated, a Boulder based Colorado publication, who gets embroiled in a heated romance with Fred McConnell in Season 1's It's A Wonderful Mork. She is played by Linda Henning.

About[]

Margaret meets Fred McConnell the two immediately sparking, and smitten. So much so that Mindy remarks that she's never seen her father like that. Fred describes Margaret as 'sophisticated yet young at heart, independent yet vulnerable, and with a certain je ne sais quoi'...which translates into a figure that would stop a truck. Her nickname for Fred is 'Old Tiger Lips', and Fred thinks she's so enamored of him, that if he snaps his fingers, she jumps.

A sophisticated red head, Margaret also newly heads up Rocky Mountain Illustrated which really peaks Mindy's attention, as she is desperately looking for a part time job to go along with her college hours, and allow her to write something out in the real world. To meet this woman in her father's life and In the hope of perhaps wangling an internship at the magazine Mindy asks Fred to invite Margaret to dinner at her apartment.

Mindy serves up a nice meal with Mork, who has been on a bit of a rampage of saying/doing the wrong thing, told to be on his absolute best behavior, or risk blowing succotash out his nose, both Fred & Margaret commenting on his quietness/manners. Margaret has happily offered Mindy a shot at an internship, always willing to help out young writers, and especially as Mindy is exactly as Fred described her to him. Mork finds that funny, as he thinks Margaret isn't at all like Fred described her, telling her he was expecting a big brake pedal...a figure that could stop a truck. Mindy hastily explains that what Mork means is that her father finds her very attractive, which makes Margaret smile. Until Mork starts snapping his fingers, and tells Fred it must only be him that can do it. Do what Margaret enquires, and Mork tells her that Fred said whenever he snaps his fingers she jumps. Margaret does not take to that kindly.

Moving things on quickly, Mindy thanks her again for inviting her by the office tomorrow, and Mork adds especially because Mindy's a woman. When Margaret asks what's wrong with being a woman, Mork tells her Mindy says it's hard for a woman to get a job without fooling around. Margaret takes that the wrong way and tells her some women, like herself, got where they want to go solely on their ability. Fred backs Margaret up saying who would want to fool around with Margaret, and when he tells her it came out the wrong way, Mork says he's doing well for a guy with Tiger Lips. Margaret is appalled he told them that, and thinking he's told them everything then lets slip two more intimate names, Fred didn't tell them.

Indignant, Margaret stands up, announces she's leaving, and tells Mindy never mind about the interview they're only hiring men, before she storms out, Fred giving chase.
