Mandy is the exact counterpart of Mindy on the planet Mirth. The revolutionary leader of the uprising against King Exidon, she engages the newly arrived Mork in her revolution, falling in love with him.
Character summary[]
Until Exidon and his party took over, Mandy led a relatively normal life in a world where technology hovers between the medieval and the modern, the plants and animals are all skewed in appearances and behaviors from that on Earth, and people's humor veers towards where even Mork's behavior could be regarded as understated.
After Exidon became the tyrannical leader and imposed his party's values, secretly suppressing electrical power and outlawing humor, Mandy, though not one herself, reacted to Exidon's tyranny by formulating a resistance army of "Sillies," the planets extreme humorists. These she deploys to flout Exidon's laws, while herself taking a position as the Head of Public Information in Exidon's Court. From within his set up she controls the revolution while spying to try and get proof of his money making scheme to control the roll out of power to the people. With it she hopes to be able to present it to the people to foment a widespread rebellion and his removal from power.
Personality[]

Mandy and the newly arrived Mork assess each other
Though she shares much of her caring and moral personality with her Earth counterpart Mindy, as someone used to leading people, Mandy is far more confident and decisive.
Brave and focused, she has no qualms in regards to putting her own life in danger to free her people. But as a leader and spy herself, she has a cautious and more cynical aspect to her, and treats Mork's initial arrival with suspicion.
However, much more used to the unusual and extreme, she takes Mork and his otherworldliness in far easier stride than Mindy did. Quickly seeing how his more restrained self and his abilities could be of use to her and her aims.

Recruitment & Romance
Perhaps because of the off-kilter world she inhabits and because she is used to the extreme and bizarre humor of those around her, Mandy's view of Mork is in many ways the opposite of that of Mindy, who has to try and restrain Mork's behavior.
On Mirth Mork is, in comparison to those around her, actually calm and someone she can speak to. Relatively speaking he is the normal guy, the "hero" and she's drawn to him very quickly, already holding hands with him by the time they have reached the end of their first walk together. His willingness to risk himself to help her, further endears him to her, leading to their first kiss.

Fretting over Mork's safety.
Conversely, her openness in expressing, both verbally and physically, her appreciation and growing affection towards and concern for him, stimulates Mork's romantic and dashing side, resulting in the two quickly becoming enamored of each other (** In the novelization of this episode Mork & Mindy 2: The Incredible Shrinking Mork, it is made explicit that the two have quickly fallen in love with one another).
After Mandy is wounded in the battle to overthrow Exidon, she thanks Mork for helping her free her world, and goes to voice how she feels things could have been between them, before she tells him to tell Mindy that she is lucky to have him. She then dies in a grieving Mork's arms. Her death the catalyst for his growth back to his normal size.
