Lee Weaver (April 10, 1930) is an American actor who appeared as the undercover cop Gus that Mork mistakes for a criminal, unwittingly allowing a real criminal to hold up a bar he and Mearth are visiting in Season 4's My Dad Can't Beat Up Anybody.
Biography[]
Lee Weaver was born April 10, 1930 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, USA the son of Josephine and Primus Jest Weaver, a chef.
A childhood friend of Julian Edwin "Cannonball" Adderley the jazz alto saxophonist of the hard bop era of the 1950s and 1960s, Weaver served as bestman at his wedding. Adderly dedicating the track "The Weaver" to Lee on his 1963 album Nippon Soul.[1]
Weaver himself has been married to Ta-Tanisha since July 10, 1971. They have one daughter, Leis La-Te, and reside in The Bronx, New York
Career[]
Starting from his early days in Sheena Queen of the Jungle (1955-56) Lee Weaver has, thus far, gone to appear in over 125 film and television roles. Over the course of 6 decades in the business Weaver has had roles in numerous Bill Cosby vehicles including I Spy (1967-68), The Bill Cosby Show (1969-71), The Cosby Show and it's spin off A Different World. He also had a notable part as exhibitionist 'Buck Naked' taking the part from Hill Street Blues across to NYPD Blue. [2]
He had parts in movies like Cleopatra Jones, The Onion Field, Heaven Can Wait, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Godzilla and Donnie Darko. Weaver was the voice of Alpine in the animated television series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985–1986) and their subsequent movies, G.I. Joe: Arise, Serpentor, Arise! (1986) G.I. Joe: The Movie (1987) and appeared in direct to video movies Grave Images (1991) and Just Your Luck (1996).

Mork & Mindy[]
Weaver appeared in Season 4's My Dad Can't Beat Up Anybody playing Gus, the undercover cop posing as a barfly in the downtown Boulder dive that Mork and Mearth wander into on their search for 'wrongdoers'. Mork in full space suit and trying to win his son's respect is prompted into action by an insistent Mearth on seeing Gus pull a gun on the newly arrived Charlie. Not realizing that Gus is the cop and Charlie the criminal, Mork tricks Gus out of his gun, only to realize his mistake when Gus reveals who he is, and Charlie proceeds to rob the bar and abuse Mearth, prompting Mork into a rare display of anger and his powers.
