About Jud[]

Jud is a young sandy haired boy of about 8, new to the neighborhood, who Mork has made friends with, going with him to the movies, and who helps Mork bring in his groceries in part for Mork 'covering' for him at the grocery store when Jud pulled a live lobster out into a shopping cart. On discovering that the bread has been put on top of the eggs, crushing them, Mork gets deeply emotional, saluting them, leaving Jud amazed at how upset anyone could get over eggs.

Having also brought in the mail for Mork and Mindy it's Jud who notices that one of the pieces for mail is actually for Mork. from the Dept of Immig. and Nat. Surprising Mork, as the mail is always generally for Mindy.

Jud is confused when, on opening the letter, Mork tells him it's a a letter from the U.S. Department of Immigration and Naturalization. Reading it out, it informs him that pursuant to his visit to the service last year (Mork & the Immigrant) there are questions arising from the form he filled in, and if he doesn't head to the offices to answer them he risks the termination of his stay in the U.S. Jud is confused and Mork explains to him what happened when he visited the departmental offices the previous year, thinking they had thrown the form away after what occurred, but seemingly not. Jud still doesn't know what it means and Mork explains he's at risk of being deported, thrown out of the country. Feeling he better go down to the offices to check it out, Jud says he'll stay and tell Mindy where Mork's gone.

Later when Mindy and Mork are angsting over his possibly being deported, Jud arrives and tells Mork that he saw a program on TV about Vietnamese kids being adopted into the country. He tells them that if they can find someone to adopt Mork he could be able to stay in the country.
