James Jarnigan is an American actor, active during his early teens who appeared as the first boy (Boy 1) who along with his friends brings Mork home to Mindy after discovering the 'mind vacated' Orkan up a tree in Season 2's Mork's Vacation.

Career[]

In an onscreen career that spanned just four years from 1978 - 82, James Jarnigan's first credit came as the young J.D.Fitzgerald alongside Jimmy Osmond in The Great Brain (1979), after which he appeared in a number of Movies, TV Movies and TV Series, as well as the short movie Christmas Snows, Christmas Winds (1978)[1]

Mork & Mindy[]

James appeared as one of the boys, alongside Scott Marshall's Scott, and Jim Gatherum, who, after Mork takes a vacation from his body, swapping with a cat alien from the planet Mrowrr, finds Cat Mork stuck up a tree. The Boy explains to her that a dog chased him up a tree, wishing he could climb like that. The cat alien having vacated Mork's body, he hasn't moved in 20 minutes, the boy telling Mindy they found a card in Mork's pocket, which claims he is 'The Property of Mindy McConnell' and giving her address. Turning down an offered reward from her, he advises her to cut his nails next time as Mork likes to scratch.

James and Jim Gatherum playing the 2 boys alongside Scott Marshall had both been cast in one of ABC's Weekend Specials 'Zack and the Magic Factory' which aired on ABC-TV the following year.
