Mork & Mindy[]
JD's first role after his stint on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, was as Brad Jackson (as James David Hinton), in Mork Runs Away an old High School friend, and member of the football team, that Mindy had a spark with in school but never dated. Delighted to hear from him, after he's been away at Law School, he asks her out and after she organizes for Mork to spend the evening with her father, she and Brad enjoy an excellent date...until Mork returns home early. Not picking up on her hints that the date isn't over, and letting it out of the bag that the lives with Mindy, Brad gets the wrong idea about Mindy and leaves, precipitating Mindy's upset and Mork's running away.
