About Holly[]
Holly is a lively, pretty young blonde girl with a wry sense of humor who has been dispatched to the McConnell's Music Store by her mother to take piano lessons from Cora. The first of which she has just completed when she encounters Mork in the store. When Mork approaches her jokingly introducing himself as Donny Osmond, Holly won't talk to him, because he's a stranger, until Mindy vouches for him. Scanning Holly, Mork ascertains she is not particularly feeling positive towards her mother.
When Cora takes her away to look at practice books, Eugene enters and spots her. Mork tells him about her, and that she, like Eugene is annoyed at her mother for making her take music lessons. Eugene is particularly riled at this time as he feels he's being dictated to by his mother in every way. But checking her out, Eugene is taken with Holly, and tells Mork she's a doll, elaborating for a confused Mork, a chick, a fox, real hot stuff. As Cora returns with Holly telling Eugene it's time for his lesson, while Mork quickly checks Holly's forehead, prompting her to ask why? Because Eugene said you were hot stuff he tells her but in fact she's only 98.4, Eugene cringing in embarrassment as Mork lets the cat out of the bag. Holly however, is delighted, asking Eugene if he really said that. Eugene prevaricates however, but Mork calls him on it telling her Eugene called her a fox, a doll and cute poultry. A grinning Holly, approaches Eugene and punches him in the shoulder, telling him 'You're weird!' before leaving behind a lovestruck Eugene and a thoroughly confused Mork.
Eugene and Holly's childlike romance is fueled by their rebellion against their parents, and by Mork's lack of understanding (despite Mindy trying to explain how all kids resent their parents telling them what to do), the two make plans to get married (with Mork officiating) so they won't ever have to do what their parents tell them again. Both of them coming to Mindy's Apartment while she's out, Mork provides Holly with her wedding dress, couture by Mr Mork of Boulder. And as the captain of his own ship, marries them, Eugene putting a soda can ring on her finger. And they two proceed to celebrate their wedding by eating all the candy they can get their hands on.
It's only when a worried Mindy gets home telling Mork that both of the kids never showed up and their parents are very worried. When she discovers what Mork's done, she is both relieved they are safe and vaguely exasperated. Explaining that firstly he can't marry kids that age, and secondly there are good reasons for why parents put limits on what their kids do. A point vigorously underlined when both kids come down from the attic sick to their stomach and ill from eating too many candy bars. Holly claiming to have 36 Musketeers in her stomach Gathering up their stuff, Mindy hands it to them and suggests they head on down to her jeep and she'll drive them home. Looking miserable they head out, thanking Mork, subdued. Pointing out how their own parents never would have let that happen to them.
