Doing (prounounced Doyng) is Mork's pet Habijini, who masquerades as a dog in The Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour. Following the success of Scooby-Doo, it became common for characters in Hanna-Barbera's animated shows (And other cartoons based on live action sitcoms) to be saddled with somewhat anthropomorphic animal sidekicks. Unlike other sidekicks like Mr Cool and PFC Squeeley, Doing never talks and tended to act a little more like a regular animal, with occasional human reactions.
Character summary Edit
Doing has a set of antennas protruding from his head, suction-cup feet and six legs. He can separate his body into three segments.
Surprisingly, nobody ever really took issue with how obviously alien Doing looked, most, like Hamilton DuPont seemed to regard him as just a weird-looking Earth dog.
At being called a "Mutt" Mork indignantly defends Boing, citing him as being a fully accredited purebred Habijini.
Like Earth dogs, Doing is loyal to his owner Mork and his friends and shows dislike towards anyone who antagonizes them.
