Dana Hill (May 6, 1964 – July 15, 1996) was an American actress and Voice Actor who appeared as the (very angry) Girl Scout who Mork upsets in an attempt to learn to say No to people in Season 1's Mork the Gullible.
Biography[]
Dana Hill was born Dana Lynne Goetz on May 6, 1964 to Sandy Hill and Theodore Arthur "Ted" Goetz, a director of commercials. A promising athletic career was ended at aged 10 she was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at an early age ended her athletic career, After having placed third nationwide in the 880-yard run and fourth in the mile run, a few weeks later, she collapsed on the track, which resulted in her medical diagnosis.
After this setback despite her father's strong discouragement, she switched her attention, and natural talent, to acting. and to avoid the appearance of nepotism, she used her mother's maiden name and dived into commercials. The diabetes however affected her growth, resulting in her playing children and people much younger than herself for a long time to come. She proved much in demand for this reason and was cast in many adolescent roles well into her twenties, because as an adult, she was not subject to the strict labor rules a real adolescent would be (limited shooting hours, on-set teachers, etc.).
However the diabetes caused lifelong health complications. Having been forced due to these health issues to move from live screen action more and more into Voice Acting, she slipped into a diabetic coma in May 1996 and suffered a massive paralytic stroke the following month.
On July 15, 1996, Hill died at age 32 in Burbank, California, USA [1] [2]
Career[]
After starting out in commercials, Dana Hill kicked her acting career off in style, storming the screen opposite Robin Williams in the stellar first season of Mork and Mindy. She went on to appear in shows like Family, The Two of Us, The Fall Guy, Magnum P.I. and with Pam Dawber in the 'Grimm Party' episode of Faerie Tale Theatre.

Mork & Mindy[]
Dana Hill's first screen appearance as the Girl Scout trying to sell cookies was one of the most memorable guest spots on the show, with the young actress scene stealing from Robin Wililams, when his Mork violently rejects her attempts to sell him girl scout cookies. Her Godfather like riposte, giving the Orkan no quarter, and no choice, taking almost all the money has and exiting with a 'box drop' got a rousing reception from the live audience.
