The restaurant is run by Remo DaVinci, it is not clear whether he bought the premises or is leasing them. His sister Jeanie DaVinci helps him in restaurant, while continuing the 2nd year of her medical studies.
About[]
After a year running the New York Deli on the Pearl Street Mall, Remo shifts further downtown to open a business which affords him more scope for his culinary talents, a proper Italian restaurant, of which he is very proud. To the point of stressing over women crying in his new bathrooms. (Putting the Ork Back in Mork).

The move is more successful as the restaurant always seems well populated and popular.
It gets even more popular when Robin Williams drops in (Mork Meets Robin Williams) though it results in Mork being mistaken for him, and when he makes a run for it, empties the place out fairly quickly.
Later Remo starts to bring in musical acts to help with even more custom which also proves a successful move (Mork and Mindy Meet Rick and Ruby) though not till after Da Vinci's is picketed for Remo's sexist attitude to pregnant women, led by Mindy.

Behind the Scenes[]
At the time of filming, 'Da Vinci's' was actually the Walrus Saloon, in operation since 1972 with billiards and pool, which closed its doors at that location in 2018, moving to a different location on 1123 Walnut Street.
