Boulder High School is part of the Boulder Valley School District. Headquartered in the BVSD Education Center in unincorporated Boulder County, near Boulder. The district serves Boulder, Gold Hill, Jamestown, Lafayette, Louisville, Nederland, Superior, and Ward.
About[]
Boulder High School was founded in 1875 as a preparatory school to the University of Colorado. In 1876, it was the first high school in Colorado to graduate a class. The school is located in downtown Boulder, adjacent to the university’s campus and four blocks from the Pearl Street Mall. It predates many of the other High Schools now in Boulder by quite a long time, making it the model for the Boulder High School that Mindy attends (and Mount Mount High in the Animated Show), and its alumni appear several times through the show, chiefly as friends and old boyfriends of Mindy.
Boulder High School is in the Boulder Creek flood zone. The school's adjacent soccer fields were the site of housing as late as the 1970s, but the houses were removed due to the flash-flood risk. The Boulder Creek 100-year flood took place in 1894, destroying all buildings in the area. Boulder High football, soccer, lacrosse, and track teams compete at Christian Recht Field, accessed via a bridge spanning Boulder Creek. Christian Recht was a member of the Boulder Preparatory and Boulder High School faculty from the 1920s until his death in 1964.

The school colours are Gold and Green (the real Boulder High's are Gold and Purple), reflected both in Mindy's Cheerleading sweater (which carries the same style 'B' as the real Boulder High's cheerleading outfits) and in the decorations for the reunion.

Behind The Scenes[]
The High School is never explicitly mentioned as Boulder High, but with many of the other extant High Schools in Boulder not being in place at the time of the show, and with allusions to colours and logos being somewhat similar to the real Boulder High it seems likely that this is the High School in question.
Brian Bonsall, the child actor who played Pam Dawber's son in 1989's Do You Know The Muffin Man (and Worf's son in Star Trek TNG) later moved with his parents to Boulder and joined Boulder High School, graduating from there in the 2000 and is one of their most prominent alumni.
