People's Choice Awards[]
Near the end of season 1, Mork & Mindy swept several categories at The People's Choice Awards.
Awards[]
Mork & Mindy won Favorite Female in a New TV Program (Pam Dawber), Favorite Male Performer in a TV Program (Robin Williams), Favorite New Comedy Program and Favorite Overall New TV Program.
Pam Dawber a little stunned, gave a gracious speech, crediting Robin Williams and the writers for the success of the show.
Williams' best friend Christopher Reeve presented his award with a heartfelt speech; with Williams giving a hilarious speech calling the award tupperware and giving a shout out to John Houseman both his and Reeve's mentor at Juliiard.
Pam Dawber was supposed to accept the award for Favorite Comedy alone, but grabbed a hold of Robin Williams as he stood up to let her by and pulled him with her up on stage, before she asked the rest of the cast to join them with young Jeffrey Jacquet ultimately claiming the award for his own.
